Tennessee Probate Courts and Forms
In Tennessee, probate matters are typically handled within the Chancery Court system. Tennessee is divided into 31 judicial districts, each with its own Chancery Court.
The Clerk and Master of the Chancery Court in the relevant district oversees probate proceedings. This includes:
- Probate of wills: Validating and executing wills.
- Estate administration: Managing the distribution of assets and settling debts.
To determine the appropriate Chancery Court, you’ll need to identify the judicial district where the deceased resided.
